Stead Tech was founded on the dream of returning to a field that would allow owner Clint to use his passion and experience in a business where he is inspired while continuing to provide customer service excellence in a hands on front line contact role.
From a young age Clint had a fascination with all things sound and lighting. As early as high school Clint was as an awarded sound and lighting technician, employed to run sound for musicals and shows on the peninsula.
Clint was picked up by a local sound engineering company Peninsula Digital where he worked throughout the 90's, engineering in studio and live for bands across Sydney’s hot spots.
Clint then entered an Electrical Apprenticeship for 3 years. Young, exuberant and a natural people person he found the profession did not suit him, moving on to face to face sales and customer service roles, however, his experience in Electrical trade gave him a deeper understanding of technology and enhanced his knowledge when it comes to problem solving tech issues.
In the following years Clint excelled in multiple sales roles. His varied background attracting an offer from an IT company in the 2000's where he also expanded his tech knowledge gaining invaluable experience with networking and Wi-Fi solutions for his major client, a prominent Australian charity.
Prior to opening Stead Tech Clint worked 12 years for an ASX 200 listed company where his exceptional customer service skills were awarded not once but three times with a 100% engagement score, a rare occurrence in any customer service industry.
With a varied background including high level customer service, electrical trade, network engineering and a passion for home technology made simple, it was an easy choice for Clint to begin Stead Tech.
